Unlike most other financial professionals, Geremy, is not here to sell your audience financial or investment products.

As a personal finance counselor of 13 years, Geremy prides herself in being different in two important ways.

1.  Being an AFC® for 11 years (plus 2 years freelancing) requires a lot of preparation.  First, the AFC® candidate must have at least a bachelors degree to be accepted into the AFC® program.  After completing course work in counseling methods, and personal finances, the AFC® candidate must complete between 400-1,000 practicum hours before sitting for the exam.  Upon successful completion of the 300 question exam, the AFC® agrees to abide by a strict code of ethics and to continue to maintain up to date with their financial knowledge by taking at least 15 continuing education hours per year.  Rest assured, Geremy is a financial professional prepared to provide factual, up to date information to serve your audience on various financial topics from budgeting, debt reduction, credit improvement, saving and investing and beyond.  **Update- I've made the decision to not continue with the AFC® designation because I can serve a wider audience in my unique way of coaching without the guidelines under which I was operating with the AFC®.

2.  Geremy does not sell any financial or insurance products or services such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or life insurance.  This uniquely positions Geremy to remain unbiased in educating your audience, so instead of pitching investment or insurance products to sell, Geremy educates audiences on how to think about spending, saving, and investing, so that action takers that follow her guidance can have true financial empowerment.

Geremy believes that true financial empowerment does not come from delegating financial decisions to others (even professionals), but rather having the financial education, encouragement, which leads to empowerment to make their own financial decisions.  There will be a time when individuals do need to consult with a financial professional, however, does your audience know what questions to ask and what to look for in a financial professional?

What does financial empowerment look like?  When a woman understands how money and personal finances work, she is confident in her own ability to use financial tools such as credit, debt, and yes even the b word, budget to achieve her financial goals, so that she can live her best life without regret that she could have done more with her great income, visited more places, saved and invested more for her future and her kids' future, and was able to give more to her charities and causes that she valued.
